A week ago, Ukrainians around the world celebrated our nationโs most significant holiday โ Independence Day of Ukraine. This is a day when each of us, no matter where we are, feels a profound connection to the great Ukrainian nation. This year, like the previous two, the Ukrainian community in Orlando, alongside guests from other U.S. cities, under the leadership of event organizer #ukrainianspiritbyyarynalevytska, joined the global action โChain of Unity,โ with the motto: โUnity is our main weapon.โ This event, registered through the World Congress of Ukrainians @thefreeworldgathering, took place in hundreds of cities across various countries and will be featured in a worldwide broadcast in support of our homeland.

This year, the action took the form of a living chain, connected by blue and yellow ribbons, which were part of a three-ring wreath โ a symbol of the unity of free people worldwide.

As the event organizer, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the parish of St Mary Protectress Ukrainian Catholic Church in Orlando, along with Roman Kuzminskyi, @procorn, and @chaikovskyproductions for their collaboration; to @zenonchaikovsky for the musical arrangements and performances; and to my friends for their unwavering support in organizing this event. Special thanks to the entire Ukrainian community for their active participation, as this is our collective effort, showcasing how vital it is to continue putting all our energy toward the good of Ukraine.
